2nd Annual Rethinking Autism Conference - April 1-2, 2016
Holiday Inn Airport, Evansville
The Rethinking Autism Conference will bring together hundreds of voices as a passionate network to inspire hope and ignite change.
Come explore compelling research that challenges our original understanding of autism spectrum disorder and uncovers the evidence behind innovative and neurologically-based sensory supports and accommodations that are increasing functioning through improved regulation, reliable communication, and lasting behavioral outcomes for individuals on the spectrum.
Conference participants will engage in multi-modal learning experiences from Elizabeth Torres, PhD, Researcher with Rutgers University; Suzanne Oliver, Clinician, Founder and Executive Director of Neurologic Music Therapy Services of Arizona; Jayme Whitaker, System of Care Expert from FSSA; and a panel of autistic self-advocates who will discuss critical issues related to educational access for students on the autism spectrum.
Congratulations to Fatima Chan, M.M.E., MT-BC, who completed her Neurologic Music Therapy training in February 2016!
IMT Owner, Casey DePriest, started a new Non-profit organization, Optimal Rhythms, Inc. Optimal Rhythms opened a special private day school for students with severe autism in August 2014. For more information: 812-491-9401 or www.optimalrhythms.org.
